Finish Line (Days 29-30)
You made it. Before you share anything, run through this checklist.
Portfolio checklist
- [ ] Every finished project has a story: the problem, what you did, what came out. 5-10 sentences, no jargon walls.
- [ ] Every project links to a repo that runs: a stranger can clone it and follow the README.
- [ ] Your bio says what you are looking for in one sentence (role + what you bring).
- [ ] There is a photo and a way to contact you.
- [ ] The 60-second test: someone who has never met you understands what you can do in under a minute. Ask a friend to try.
- [ ] Dead links check: click every single link on the page.
On D8A Academy your portfolio page is generated from your validated projects at d8a.academy/portfolio/your-slug, so most of this is filling in the blanks. Solo builders: a pinned-repos GitHub profile with a strong profile README works too.
Share it (Day 29)
Post on LinkedIn. Keep it concrete:
30 days ago I started #30DaysOfData. Today I am shipping: [X] projects, [tools you used], and a portfolio: [link]. Day 1 me would not believe this.
Then send it to 3 people: one friend, one person in data whose work you like, one recruiter or hiring manager. Worst case, silence. Best case, a conversation.
Retro (Day 30)
Answer these in the space below:
- Which daily win are you proudest of?
- What almost made you quit, and what got you through?
- What is the next skill gap between you and the job you want?
What next?
